Крах Terra LUNA. Или как заработать 10.000$ c 200$ за ночь
Был обычный теплый майский день, только-только растаял снег, появилась первая листва. Люди потихоньку отходили от зимней спячки, выползали на улицу. Начался сезон шашлыков. Никто и представить себе не мог, что через несколько часов одна из самых крупнейших криптовалют обесценится в мгновение ока, и сбережения тысяч людей просто сгорят в аду под названием «Terra LUNA».
Я не буду описывать как это произошло — эта информация на несколько статей. Всю историю Terra LUNA можно посмотреть по первым ссылкам в поисковике. Я же хочу рассказать о том, как некоторые люди заработали миллионы, в то время, как тысячи людей теряли все свои деньги.
У криптовалюты LUNA есть свой алгоритмический стейблкоин UST. В моменте он потерял привязку к доллару США (депег) и начал обесцениваться с бешеной скоростью. Чтобы поддержать цену UST и вновь привязать его к цене доллара Terraform Labs решили начать печатать нативный токен LUNA и за счет него покупать UST.
Не знаю чем руководствовались Terraform Labs, ведь увеличение эмиссии никак не способствует стабильности цены токена. В общем, ладно. У Terra есть свой децентрализованный криптообменник (DEX) Terra Station. Я точно не знаю куда поступали новые монеты LUNA, но судя по всему они сразу прилетали в обменник Terra Station — где арбитражники могли купить все обесценивавшийся токен LUNA и сразу же отправить его для продажи на биржи.
Схема была достаточна проста и приносила в среднем по 10-20% прибыли за один круг, который мог длиться буквально десять минут: арбитражник покупал UST на бирже, выводил его на свой криптовалютный кошелек, обменивал UST на LUNA и эту LUNA опять закидывал на биржу и продавал. Так как эмиссия LUNA постоянно увеличивалась и все больше токенов поступало на Terra Station, то курс на обменнике всегда был ниже чем на бирже процентов на 10-20%.
На этом деле за пару дней можно было поднять целое состояние. Да, были большие риски потерять весь депозит — но все обошлось, единственным минусом для арбитражников было закрытие блокчейна: UST заморозились в блокчейне, в то время как цена на биржах стремительно падала. Можно было потерять процентов 60 за час. Но и эти убытки с лихвой окупались дальнейшим арбитражом. Самый занимательный опыт был у моего друга Артема. Он с 200 долларов смог поднять 8800$ за ночь совершив сотни сделок.
Скриншоты депозитов. Количество заработанной луны росло в геометрической прогрессии, в то время как цена на нее либо держалась на месте, либо совсем чуть чуть да падала (в первые дни еще не было жесткого дампа).
С 5 тысяч долларов можно было делать по 500-1000 долларов буквально за минут 20. Знаю одного чувака, он за пару дней арбитража поднял банк в 120к$ начав с тысячи долларов. Вот такие штуки бывают в крипте. Когда льется кровь, кто-то зарабатывает огромные деньги.. Причем, арбитраж жил 2-3 дня, эмиссия LUNA постоянно порождала разницу в цене на DEX и на биржах.

Ты красавчик, что поднял на такой связке много бабла. Я, когда в первые увидел график за год в 2022, я офигел, что он упал с 7-9 тыс до копеек. Я открыл калькулятор, чтобы было бы, если бы я купил на 30₽, 300₽, 3000₽, и я понял, что я бы был миллионером. В тот момент меня переполняло эмоции: злость, сожаление и сожаление о том, что мне было тогда только 17 лет и я не смог бы купить эту монету. Ну хз. Я все те деньки не спал, так как у самого были деньги в Anchor.
Постоянно ходили слухи что где то там работает схема с арбитражем, но по факту все это были только слухи: доходность на одну операцию составляла процента 2-3, зачисления на биржи и выводы с бирж тупили, порой приходилось ждать часа по 2-3, то есть один «круг» занимал от 30 минут до 4 часов. При этом волатильность была адская: за это время монета могла скакнуть процентов на 800 (да-да, в 8-10 рез, легко!) в любую сторону.
Самое надежное было: шортить Luna. За пару дней она упала с 90 долларов за монету, до 0.000001 доллара.
Если у вас железные нервы и вы в хаосе и панике тех дней могли поверить что крупнейшая экосистема обвалится в ноль, то вы могли сделать иксы.
Но надо иметь реально стальные нервы. Luna тогда была следующая по капитализации экосистема после Etherium и Bitcoin. Поверить что она обвалится в ноль это так же как поверить сегодня что etherium обвалится в ноль, весь этот путь от 90 баксов до нуля был полон сомнений.
Я пробовал шортить: это непросто, местами были такие адские отскоки, что меня чуть не выбило но весь депозит. В какой то момент я почти без денег остался, встав в шорт на 1/5 портфеля при цене 0.22 или 0.022, точно не помню. Luna внезапно, за 20 минут или около того отросла в пять раз почти до 0.1, пришлось срочно усредняться, чтоб не вылететь по маржинколлу, потом она так же внезапно продолжила валиться дальше, в общем тот еще был ад, на одном этом движении я потерял всю прибыль от трейдинга тех дней.
Luna стремительно валилась вниз, но идти вместе с ней было, как плыть по горной реке, с порогами, водопадами и водоворотами.
После того как цена достигла 0.0001 доллара последовало резкое падение, 2, обрыв, как угодно называйте, но в течении нескольких секунд монета обвалилась в ноль, до 0.000001 или какой-то минимальной суммы которая возможна в интерфейсе биржи. Веры больше в этот проект ни у кого не было, цена буквально замерла на несколько часов. Было около 2 часов ночи, в тот момент за 1 доллар можно было купить ровно один миллион Luna. Шок был таким глубоким, что торги на рынках встали, объемы были минимальными, такая цена держалась без движений часа четыре. Те, кто в тот момент вложил 1000 долларов сегодня миллионеры (монета серьезно отросла с тех дней) и на стейкинге получают порядка 500 долларов в день. Я помню по себе, что после всех событий тех дней комп держал на расстоянии швабры и тупо пошёл спать.

What led to the hyperinflated supply of LUNC?

After USTC lost its $1 peg in May, the supply of LUNC increased drastically, trying to restore the peg. But to no avail. As a result, LUNC price plummeted from over $100 in April to less than 1 cent about a month later.
In the aftermath, the original blockchain rebranded to Terra Classic (LUNC). Meanwhile, the original Terra (LUNA) naming was assigned to a new blockchain that launched in June 2022 with no algorithmic stablecoin functionality.
What is the Luna Classic burn tax? Putting deflationary pressure on LUNC

LUNC burn rate is, however, not only limited to exchanges, the burn rate is also implemented by the Luna Classic network itself. This means that when a transaction occurs on the blockchain, tokens are burned automatically. LUNC Metrics was built to track analytics on the LUNA Classic chain, with revitalization work led by the Terra Rebels. The primary tactic is to burn LUNC and remove it from circulation. There are also proposals to restructure UST debt, but that is an evolving discussion.
Currently, there are two mechanisms to burn LUNC: on-chain taxation, and donations sent to the official burn address.
On-chain taxation
Taxing transactions on the terra chain currently accounts for of the total burn. Only transactions that happen on chain can be taxed. So this excludes trading on centralized exchanges like Binance and Kucoin.
For a transaction to be included in the on-chain tax scheme, the transactions must be one of the following types:
- MsgSend: Transfers from one wallet to another
- MsgMultiSend: Multiple senders/receivers in a single transaction
- MsgExecute: Bundled smart contracts
- MsgSwapSend: Swapping coins/tokens and sending to a wallet
- MsgInstantiateContract: Creating a new smart contract
- MsgExecuteContract: Smart contract transaction
LUNC Burn Wallet
On the LUNA Classic chain, there is an official wallet address that will automatically burn any coins sent to it. This address was made public by Do Kwon on May 21, 2022, but on-chain transactions show it has been used to burn LUNA since September 2021.

LUNC sent to the burn address comes in a variety of forms, but most notably is Binance. In support of the Terra community, Binance decided to donate all LUNC trading fees to the burn.
