fixing up your page file will usually solve problem, also make sure you are using loading screen mod as expalined in that guide above

I’m having this same problem, but with the asset editor for the game. every single time I try and launch an instance of the asset editor, it takes for ever to load and then the game presents me with the error and then CTD..

Running 64GB of ram with 7.1GB in use by the system.. page file is 65535 (min)/98302(max)

Had the same problem, tried a bunch from moving to my ssd (alway 30gb free on both)
To checking ram. Got to 23.6/24Gb so started writing to Hdd as it does. Then always crash.

Ended up biting the bullet and killing all my mods and assets (think a heap of assets is what was doing it)

And it launched, built my base mods back up minus many 100s of assets & then reworked my list and assets & it worked, peaking @ 14.2GB/24 of Ram

when i try to open a new city, it crashes on loading, and shows this message [www.deviantart.com] and shows an error message that the game has crashed. Someone help me?

It is a memory error. It means it failed to allocate more virtual memory and caused a crash.

This happens when using the window’s auto page-file.

Manually set your page file.

You can unsubscribe unused workshop and gain some memory back and prevent the crash. but then when you buy more DLC or subscribe more workshop, the error will likely come back.

Crashes — virtual alloc remapping failed, fatal error in gc.

From what I've been able to pull from the google machine is that this is related to the amount of memory available to the system. I have 16GB + 10GB page file, so I believe there should be plenty of room.

Observations:

When the crash occurs, if you don't click the "ok" button in the error box prompt, the memory utilization seems stuck at the utilization at the time of crashing.

During the crash other applications such as Discord and Firefox crash.

Considering that I have 16GB of RAM, I don't believe that I should be experiencing RAM related issues unless there are further optimizations needed.

Testing:

Ran memtest86 — no errors

Increased Page File size from 10,000 MB to 20,000 MB — Have not crashed since. I believe this may be the solution

When I was trying to save my game, it came up with a «VirtualAlloc remapping failed» error. PC Specs:
i7-8700K, GTX 1080Ti, with 16GB of RAM.

your pagefile is very large; it is 46GB which means as it is nearly full you have subscribed to a lot of assets.

What is your game version?
1.9.1-f3

Please explain your issue is in as much detail as possible.
I started playing after almost a 4 month break and started to get a «fatal error in gc» error that said «virtualalloc remapping failed» whenever I loaded a city.

During loading, my RAM usage is like 15,6GB / 16,0 GB. I have an I 5 6600k. First I was able to load the city a couple of times without crashing and in game my RAM usage was only like 8GB when I checked. After a while it crashed when auto saving giving this same error message. Haven’t been able to load succesfully since.

I have like 2500 assets and 104 mods, so could a compatibility error be the cause, since there has been an update since the last time I played?
My game is on a Samsung 850 SSD which apparently automatically allocates more Virtual Memory for me.

My game worked perfectly fine the couple of months ago with the same hardware, except I’ve got a new HDD but the game is not installed there.

Can you replicate the issue? If yes, please explain how you did it.

Search your output log for «adding package». I get 3,910 hits. That includes custom assets, mods, themes, maps, saved games.

Commonly each major patch increases the memory footprint of the game itself, due to increased complexity, leaving less room for subscribed content. I’d suggest you unsubscribe from any mod or asset you don’t actually need or use. And exit every other app and process possible in Windows before starting the game.

Do you get this error only when loading a save from previous patches, so pre 1.9 ? How about with a new city started under 1.9.x ?

Lastly, you can upgrade to higher RAM capacities.

Hello everyone, some time ago the game started to crash.
First came the error message «Oops! The Game crashed! The crash report folder named» year-month-day_xxxxxx «next to game executable. It would be great if you’d send it to the developers of the game!» After entering -force-d3d9 in the settings, I was able to start and play the game, but it still crashes regularly. Often when saving.
And today came the error message «Virtualalloc remapping failed».

I hope someone can help me. It’s just no longer fun if it keeps crashing.

All my current saves are from before 1.9

Alright, I might know what the problem causer(s) could be. Steam workshop lists that I have 2686 subscribed entries, which is about what I believe the true number is. My steam workshop file has around the same amount of files. However in-game using the improved asset list mods «count assets» feature gives me like 4000 results and the Loading Screen Mod displays just as many assets being loaded when I load a save.

So there is clearly way too much being loaded for some reason when the true number should be around 2700.

Well I don’t have any of the mods listed as not working for 1.9 from the Steam discussion stickied post.

I was suggested elsewhere to move my game to a HDD and increase my page file and unsubscribe some assets.

I’m currently going through my workshop list and removing everything I don’t need to make some space, also I moved the game to a HDD and increased the page file. Is there a mod which disables all vanilla assets since I don’t need any of them. That would lower the amount of assets needed to load significantly.

Well, I just cleared like 500 assets I didn’t need from my Workshop and the game seems to run perfectly normally again. Only thing is that after loading a city it gives me an error message that reads something like «index not found» but so far it hasn’t caused any problems.

Please help, i have been raging for the past 3 hours smashing my keyboard because of this bug- Yes, that is a bad reaction but i am very mad :(. it says «Fatal error in gc. VirtualAloc remapping failed.» I do not know which version it is, but i suppose it’s the newest version of Niche on steam. I have it on disk D:/ and it was working perfectly fine yesterday. Virtualalloc remapping failed тарков ошибка

From what I’ve been able to pull from the google machine is that this is related to the amount of memory available to the system. I have 16GB + 10GB page file, so I believe there should be plenty of room.

When the crash occurs, if you don’t click the «ok» button in the error box prompt, the memory utilization seems stuck at the utilization at the time of crashing.

During the crash other applications such as Discord and Firefox crash.

Considering that I have 16GB of RAM, I don’t believe that I should be experiencing RAM related issues unless there are further optimizations needed.

Ran memtest86 — no errors

Increased Page File size from 10,000 MB to 20,000 MB — Have not crashed since. I believe this may be the solution

Some things I’ve tried:

Having RAM cleaner on/off — still results in periodic crashes.

So a few days ago I decided to boot up Tarkov again and play since its been a while since I last played. And low and behold I open the launcher and update it, clicked launch I see the first loading screen for about a solid second and then my whole screen goes black, pc «shuts off» im not sure even what state it is in when it happens. Like all of the rgb lights on my motherboard shut off, my fans arent spinning and it sounds like its off but the power button still is lit. So far only way Im able to fix it is to hard reset my pc by unplugging the cable and plugging it back in, pushing the power/reset buttons dont do anything in that state.

Now, here is some of the things ive tried to do to fix it so I can play tarkov….. maybe.

-Updated everything…..Windows,GPU/Nvidia,Bios, and Used SnailDriver for small things that needed it like Audio drivers and whatnot

— Simply Reinstalling the game both onto the same and different drives

-Messing with OC settings within the bios tried setting everything to its «optimized» defaults, and OCed settings

— Monitored my temps when attempting to boot and nothing even remotely reached their under load temp

— Tried checking the integrity of the game files in the launcher

-Deleting temporary files before lauching

-Ive tried closing unnecessary programs that could possibly interfere with tarkov launching, only thing that was running or in the system tray that wasnt tarkov was Windows Sounds, Nvidia Settings, and Windows Defender

— Also tried disabling windows defender which also didnt do anything

The past few days ive been doing some research to see if anyone else is having this problem, there are some people that have a system that is just really cutting the wire close specs wise which isnt the case for me, also not having enough RAM which is the same story, some of them lauching the tarkov.exe with fullscreen optimizations and running as admin enabled. Both enabled and disabled didnt do anything. Im not sure what else to do, my ram I have wont OC to its respective kit (3200) ive tried ducking with the timings manually and using the corresponding profile both dont work and it seems to be kinda stuck at 2066mhz. As far as info I can give you in not sure what «logs» to even look for I got a snip of the tarkov one that probably doesnt help at all, but if you could explain to me what you need and how to get it im all ears. as for my specs…

Now this problem only happens when I launch tarkov, every other game ive played is fine like R6, CSGO, Overwatch, PUBG, Dying Light, LoL I even used a benchmark to see if maybe my system was just not stable and it ran fine.

Only problem with that is. output_log is too big for pastebin =p

EDIT: It’s so large cause I have so many custom assets loading in btw. and a few of them are broken it seems.

I just wish there were a workshop collection of the best assets (as in Industrial, Commercial and Residential buildings) cause I don’t use the extra Unique buildings and all that. I just want my city to look good, as in a lot of different buildings and not having like 15 of the same store when you have 20 in an area.

Cause right now I have a HUGE amount of them to try them out.

I also removed a lot of the custom road-connections an hour ago just to see if that would help. (nope)
It worked a few days ago and I haven’t added anything since then which is why I thought it might be the new drivers for GTA V)

Please explain your issue is in as much detail as possible.
I started playing after almost a 4 month break and started to get a «fatal error in gc» error that said «virtualalloc remapping failed» whenever I loaded a city.

During loading, my RAM usage is like 15,6GB / 16,0 GB. I have an I 5 6600k. First I was able to load the city a couple of times without crashing and in game my RAM usage was only like 8GB when I checked. After a while it crashed when auto saving giving this same error message. Haven’t been able to load succesfully since.

I have like 2500 assets and 104 mods, so could a compatibility error be the cause, since there has been an update since the last time I played?
My game is on a Samsung 850 SSD which apparently automatically allocates more Virtual Memory for me.

My game worked perfectly fine the couple of months ago with the same hardware, except I’ve got a new HDD but the game is not installed there.

Can you replicate the issue? If yes, please explain how you did it.
