How to check internet on GPU rig?

What is error 511?

In most cases, this error occurs due to the malfunctioning of the video card’s riser. Please check the power connector on the riser for a burnt wire, and replace the riser.

What is DPM on AMD video cards?

DPM is a table of core frequencies and the corresponding voltages of these frequencies. This information can be checked with the amd-info command. The video card changes the core frequencies in steps according to this table.

The manufacturer with a large margin sets the voltages for each stage of the core frequency. Our task is to select the lowest voltage value for the selected core frequency specified in DPM, but at the same time to ensure that the card continues to mine steadily. In this way we get reduced consumption without losing performance. This is downvolt. Here are the examples:

By default, Hiveon OS uses the value DPM 5. The factory value on Windows is DPM 7 Windows. Specifying core frequency works, but not on all the cards. But using the DPM value definitely works on all video cards.

To start the mc editor, launch Hive Shell on your worker. Then enter the mc command.

How can I check if the rig is really frozen using Hive-Shell?

Using Hive Shell, enter the working rig located in the same local network as the frozen one.

Enter this command: ssh user@”Ip_address_of_the_frozen_rig” :

Then enter your password for this rig. The latest IP address of the rig can be checked in the Hiveon OS dashboard . Now you can check if the rig has really frozen or turned off, or if it is a glitch of the web-server.

The exit command will every time bring you back in the chain.

What is LA (Load Average)?

Load Average is the average number of executable processes over a given time. For example, if the hourly load average is 10, this means (for a uniprocessor system) that at any given time during that hour, 1 process is running, and 9 are ready to run (not blocked for input/output) and are waiting for the processor to become «free».

If you have Celeron G3930 with two cores, then LA 2 indicates 100% system load. For Ethash, this is very abnormal, but for modern algorithms — it is okay.

The maximum value of LA can be anything. This is the length of the queue to the processor, expressed in the number of cores of this processor. LA has always been counted as the number of computing devices required to complete the entire current task queue.

When mining Beam and Cuckoo on weak processors, LA can reach up to 3-4. If you don’t like the red color of the indicator, you can always set the threshold value here:

Всех приветствую! Вылезла ошибка GPU driver error, no temps.
По инету порыскал в основном грешат на райзера, питания и кучу всего разного
У самого риг работает на 2-х картах 3070ti и + проц (3700x)
Риг отваливается каждые 20+ч, крайний раз La показал 20. Хотя до отвала показывает 8, а через 20ч отвал по ла
Возможно что проблема из-за проца? Хотя с другой стороны если была в нем проблема то отвалы проходили бы чаще, а тут получается какаето заканомерность 20+ ч
В общем кто знающий и сталкивался с подобным, подскажите как исправить это

Как устранить ошибку GPU driver error no temps в HIVE OS

Операционная система для майнинга HiveOS отличается высоким уровнем удобства и надежностью благодаря использованию ядра Linux.

Иногда при майнинге возникает ошибка, связанная с отсутствием информации об ошибках драйвера, невозможностью получить информацию о температуре видеокарты, а также проблемах с управлением вентиляторами. При этом работа рига нестабильна, сопровождается зависаниями и перезагрузками:

Она может возникать из-за различных причин, включая переразгон, перегрев, плохой контакт видеокарты с райзером/материнской платой, некорректная установка/”слетание” драйверов, программный/системный сбой и т.д.

Пример ошибки GPU driver error no temps, появляющейся на компьютере под управлением HiveOS при майнинге на видеокартах AMD Radeon RX6600:

Ошибка GPU driver error no temps часто бывает связана с некорректной работой драйвера. При этом в логах (доступны после нажатия на интерактивный текст ошибки в ) можно увидеть информацию о проблемной видеокарте (ее BUS ID, в приведенном ниже примере число 0000.04.00.0, которое соответствует GPU1 на скрине работы майнера выше):

Приведенная в качестве этого примера GPU driver, error no temps ошибка была “вылечена” путем повторной записи образа системы на USB-носитель. Из-за плохого качества флешек, которые подвергаются постоянной нагрузке (запись логов) со временем появляется все большее количество сбоев.

Еще один пример лога, приводящего к сбоям майнера с ошибкой GPU driver, error no temps:

В этом случае проблемы с работой видеокарт AMD Radeon RX580 были вылечены с помощью снижения их температуры (увеличена скорость вращения вентиляторов).

Что делать при появлении ошибки GPU driver error, no temps?

Чтобы точнее узнать причины проблемы, связанной с отсутствием данных о температуре видеокарты, следует ознакомиться с системными логами, а также полным отчетом о работе майнера.

Логи майнера (файл lastrun_noappend.log) обычно находятся в папке /var/log/miner/xxxx/*.log (ознакомиться с ними можно в программе mc), например:

где 100 – количество последних отображаемых строк отчета майнера о работе.

Главный отчет системы доступен по команде

При нажатии shift-f будет отображен конец отчета syslog.

Системные загрузочные логи можно просмотреть консольной командой

Чтобы посмотреть сообщения при загрузке системы, текущее состояние ядра или ошибки в драйверах, можно использовать команду

Устранению проблемы, связанной с ошибкой GPU driver, error no temps могут помочь следующие способы:

снижение разгона, в особенности по памяти;
уменьшение рабочей температуры видеокарты, в особенности в области VRAM. Для этого нужно регулярно проводить чистку карты, а при необходимости – смену термопасты и термопрокладок;
проверка/замена райзеров, кабелей подключения к материнской плате, обеспечение хорошего контакта с разъемом PCI-E (использование термоклея, специальных заглушек и т.д.);
проверка/замена кабелей питания и их разъемов на следы перегева, потемнения изоляции, ее расплавления ит.д.:

проверка файловой системы на ошибки, либо повторная запись образа HiveOS/замена флешки с системой;
обновление/откат драйверов, переход на более новую/стабильную версию HiveOS.
